    These are my 'Flight Window' settings. The main things to note are that:
    1. 'View Optimization' is set to 'Full Screen Mode' or F7 view, which I use all the time. Yours should be set to whichever view you use the most. 'Normal Mode' for F5, or 'Combat Mode' for F6.
    2. You can change the colour of your 'Full Screen Text'. I find 'White' is the most visible unless I am in a JU88 where the text merges into the canopy frame. Others find 'Red' is best. It depends a lot on which aircraft you fly the most, and whether or not you are colour blind [g].
    3. Under 'Tagging F3' 'Use Abbreviated Ranges' should be unchecked. When it is unchecked your enemies range wil appear as 1,800 (yards) 1,500, 1,200, 900, 600, etc. If it has a tick in it your enemies range will be 3k, 2k, 1k, and then you are usually dead.
    4. Having 'Use Short Identifiers' checked will save your view from becoming cluttered.
    5. If you tick 'Tracking Icons' to put them in 'Reverse' mode the icons are displayed within a small coloured box and rendered in reverse video.
